Ambica Stitch & Style LLC opened its doors in Farmers Branch this year, but Ambica herself has been tailoring for 15 years. She starts every fitting the same way: checking your posture and how you actually stand, not just pulling a tape measure. A garment that matches your measurements on paper doesn't always fit your body, and that's usually where off-the-rack alterations go wrong.
She still works with traditional draping and pressing techniques, paired with a more current eye for fit. Everything happens by appointment in a private home studio instead of a busy storefront, so you're not squeezed between other customers. The pace is set by your garment, not a waiting line.
